ASSALAMUALAIKUM is the way Muslim greets somone when they meet each other. It is the SUNNAH of the prophet Muhammad salallahu alihi wa salam exept when someone is reading the quran or in the middle of a qutbah. The SUNNAH is when we follow the prophet in his traditions.
